These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Common, including the Common mobile application, website, software, features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is operated by SOMOS COMMON, S.A.S. DE C.V., a company organized under the laws of Mexico ("Common," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, you should not use Common.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right that cannot legally be waived or restricted under the laws applicable to you.
1. About Common
Common is an online community and dating service intended for adults interested in meeting people and building meaningful relationships within a community centered on the Catholic faith.
Common provides tools that may allow users to create profiles, view other profiles, express interest in other users, match, communicate, and access additional free or paid features.
Common does not guarantee that you will receive matches, messages, responses, dates, relationships, or any particular outcome from using the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Common account.
By using Common, you represent that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- the information you provide about yourself is truthful and reasonably current;
- you are not prohibited by applicable law from using the Service; and
- you have not previously been removed from Common for serious violations of these Terms unless Common has expressly authorized your return.
Common is intended for genuine personal use. You may not create an account on behalf of another person without authorization or impersonate another person.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the authentication methods used to access it.
Common may allow you to sign in using third-party authentication providers. Your use of those authentication services may also be subject to the provider's terms.
You must not allow another person to use your Common account or transfer your account to another person without our permission.
If you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization, contact us promptly at [email protected].
4. Profile Information and Accuracy
You are responsible for the information and content you provide through your profile.
Profile information should accurately represent you. You may not knowingly provide materially false or misleading information concerning your identity, age, photos, relationship status, intentions, or other information relevant to your use of Common.
You must keep important profile information reasonably current.
5. Profile Review and Approval
To help maintain a safe and respectful community, Common may review profile content before allowing access to some or all features of the Service.
This review may include photographs, biographies, favorite saint quotes, and other information submitted to a profile.
Common may reject or request replacement of content that does not comply with our policies. This may include, for example:
- images that do not clearly represent the account holder;
- screenshots or images containing excessive interface elements, text, buttons, or unrelated material;
- materially misleading images;
- images generated or materially altered using artificial intelligence when prohibited by our profile rules;
- sexually explicit, unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise prohibited material; or
- incomplete profile information required to use the Service.
Profile review is a content-moderation measure. Unless Common expressly states otherwise for a particular feature, approval of a profile does not constitute identity verification, a criminal-background check, verification of marital or relationship status, verification of religious beliefs, or a guarantee that information supplied by a user is true.
You should use appropriate judgment and precautions when interacting with other users.
6. User Content
"User Content" means photos, profile information, biographies, messages, text, reports, and other materials that you submit, upload, send, or otherwise make available through Common.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant Common a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, transmit, format, and otherwise process that content only as reasonably necessary to:
- operate and provide the Service;
- display your profile and content to other users according to the operation of Common;
- transmit communications you choose to send;
- review and moderate content;
- prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- provide technical support; and
- comply with applicable law.
This license does not give Common the right to use your profile photographs or other User Content in advertising or marketing materials identifying you without separate permission, unless another lawful basis expressly permits that use.
The license ends when the relevant content is deleted from our active systems, except to the extent that retention is reasonably necessary for backups, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal obligations, enforcement of these Terms, or other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit User Content to Common and to grant the permissions described above.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Common to engage in unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, exploitative, or harmful activity.
Among other things, you may not:
- impersonate another person or create a materially false identity;
- harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or abuse another user;
- publish hate speech or content that unlawfully discriminates against, degrades, or threatens another person;
- share sexually explicit or pornographic material where prohibited by Common's policies;
- solicit sexual services or use Common primarily to seek sexual transactions;
- exploit, endanger, sexualize, or otherwise harm minors;
- conduct scams, fraud, financial solicitation, or deceptive schemes;
- solicit money from users under false or misleading circumstances;
- send spam or unsolicited mass messages;
- advertise or sell products or services without Common's permission;
- upload malicious software or attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the Service;
- scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically collect data or profiles from Common without authorization;
- access or attempt to access another user's account;
- circumvent account restrictions, suspensions, bans, quotas, payment requirements, or technical protections;
- publish another person's personal information without authorization where doing so violates applicable law or our policies;
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, image rights, or other rights of another person; or
- encourage another person to violate these Terms.
Common may maintain additional Community Guidelines or content policies. Where made available to you, those policies form part of the rules governing your use of the Service.
8. Interactions With Other Users
You are responsible for deciding whether and how to interact with people you meet through Common.
Common does not guarantee the identity, intentions, background, character, marital status, religious beliefs, conduct, or statements of any user.
Unless expressly stated for a specific feature, Common does not conduct criminal-background checks or independently verify users' statements concerning their religious beliefs or relationship status.
Exercise appropriate care before sharing personal or financial information, moving a conversation outside Common, or meeting another user in person.
Never send money or financial credentials to another user merely because you met that person through Common.
If another user makes you feel unsafe or you believe the user is violating these Terms, use the available reporting or blocking tools or contact us at [email protected].
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement authority.
9. Moderation, Reports, and Enforcement
Common may review User Content and account activity to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate reports, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, and comply with law.
Our moderation may involve human review and technical tools designed to assist with detecting prohibited content, fraud, spam, abuse, or security threats.
Common does not undertake a general obligation to monitor every item of User Content or every communication.
We do not routinely read private conversations merely because they occur on Common. However, to the extent permitted by applicable law and described in our Privacy Policy, Common or its service providers may access or review messages or related information when reasonably necessary to:
- investigate a user report;
- address suspected fraud, abuse, harassment, or safety concerns;
- investigate a violation of these Terms;
- protect the security or integrity of the Service;
- provide technical support requested by a user; or
- comply with a valid legal obligation or request.
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, Common may warn a user, reject content, limit visibility, remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or permanently terminate an account.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide information concerning the reason for a moderation decision and available means of contesting that decision.
Reporting illegal or prohibited content
You may report content or conduct using Common's in-app reporting tools where available or by contacting [email protected].
A report should identify the relevant profile, message, or other content as precisely as reasonably possible and explain why you believe it violates these Terms or applicable law.
We may request additional information when necessary to investigate a report.
Users may contact us at [email protected] to request review of a moderation or account-enforcement decision.
10. Privacy and Personal Data
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an important part of your relationship with Common.
Because Common is a faith-centered dating service, information that users voluntarily provide may reveal religious beliefs or other information that receives additional protection under applicable privacy laws.
Where applicable law requires a particular lawful basis, explicit consent, notice, or other safeguard for processing such information, Common will process it in accordance with those requirements as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptance of these Terms does not replace any separate consent that applicable privacy law requires us to obtain.
11. Communications
Common may send you communications reasonably necessary to operate the Service, such as account, security, profile-review, subscription, transaction, safety, moderation, and important legal notices.
Promotional or marketing communications are treated separately from essential service communications.
Where required by law, we will obtain any consent necessary to send promotional electronic communications.
You may unsubscribe from promotional email communications using the mechanism provided in those communications. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending essential account, safety, transaction, subscription, or legal communications.
12. Common Premium and Subscriptions
Common may offer paid subscriptions or other premium features ("Premium Services").
The specific features, subscription period, price, currency, free-trial terms, introductory offer, and other purchase conditions applicable to a subscription will be displayed before you confirm the purchase.
12.1 Automatic renewal
Unless expressly identified as non-renewing, Common subscriptions are auto-renewable.
An auto-renewable subscription will renew for the applicable renewal period until you cancel it in accordance with the rules of the platform through which you purchased it.
Your Apple App Store or Google Play account, as applicable, will be charged according to the price and billing period disclosed to you when you subscribe.
12.2 App Store and Google Play billing
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are billed and managed through your Apple account and are also subject to Apple's applicable terms and billing rules.
Subscriptions purchased through Google Play are billed and managed through your Google account and are also subject to Google Play's applicable terms and billing rules.
Common does not control all aspects of payment authorization, billing timing, currency conversion, taxes, refunds, or payment-method processing performed by Apple, Google, or another authorized payment provider.
12.3 Cancellation
You may cancel an auto-renewing subscription through the subscription-management functionality provided by the platform through which you purchased it.
Cancellation generally prevents the subscription from renewing after the end of the current paid period. You will normally retain access to the applicable Premium Services through the end of that period unless the platform's rules, a refund, or applicable law provides otherwise.
Deleting your Common account or uninstalling the Common application does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.
You must separately cancel the subscription through the platform through which it was purchased.
12.4 Free trials and introductory offers
Where Common offers a free trial or introductory subscription period, the eligibility requirements and duration will be disclosed before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, a trial associated with an auto-renewable subscription will convert into a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before the applicable renewal or billing deadline.
12.5 Refunds and withdrawal rights
Refunds for purchases made through Apple or Google may be administered by the applicable platform and are subject to the platform's refund procedures and applicable law.
Except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law or provided under the applicable platform's policies, payments for subscription periods that have already begun may be non-refundable.
Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory refund, cancellation, withdrawal, conformity, warranty, or other consumer right that applies to you.
12.6 Price changes
Common may change the price of Premium Services from time to time for legitimate business reasons, including changes to features, operating costs, market conditions, taxes, currency conditions, or the development of the Service.
Price changes affecting existing auto-renewing subscriptions will be implemented only in accordance with applicable law and the rules of the relevant App Store or payment platform, including any required advance notice or user consent.
13. App Stores and Third-Party Services
Common may depend on third-party services, including app stores, authentication providers, cloud infrastructure, messaging providers, analytics providers, and payment providers.
Your use of those third-party products or services may also be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Common is responsible for its own Service but does not control independent third-party services and cannot guarantee their continuous availability.
Apple users
If you download Common from Apple's App Store, your use of the application may also be subject to Apple's applicable terms, including Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a different EULA is presented to you through the App Store.
Google Play users
If you obtain Common through Google Play, your use of the application and purchases made through Google Play may also be subject to the applicable Google Play terms.
14. Intellectual Property
Except for User Content and third-party materials, Common and its licensors own the Service and the associated software, designs, graphics, logos, trademarks, text, interfaces, and other intellectual property.
Subject to these Terms, Common grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, distribute, sell, license, modify, exploit, or create derivative works from the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
15. Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion
You may stop using Common at any time and may request or initiate deletion of your account using the functionality made available by Common.
Common may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:
- a material or repeated violation of these Terms;
- fraud, scams, or other unlawful conduct;
- conduct presenting a meaningful safety or security risk;
- attempts to circumvent a prior suspension or ban;
- a valid request or order from a competent authority;
- failure to pay amounts legitimately due;
- technical or security circumstances requiring restriction; or
- another legitimate reason permitted by applicable law.
Where appropriate and legally required, Common will take into account the nature, severity, frequency, and circumstances of the conduct before permanently terminating an account.
Termination of an account ends your right to use that account.
Account deletion or termination does not necessarily require immediate deletion of every record associated with the account. Certain information may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy when necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, enforcement, dispute resolution, backups, or other legitimate purposes permitted by law.
Account deletion does not by itself cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription.
16. Changes to and Availability of the Service
Common is an evolving service. We may add, remove, modify, or discontinue features from time to time.
We may temporarily suspend access where necessary for maintenance, security, technical problems, legal requirements, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Where a change materially affects a paid service for which applicable law provides a remedy, we will honor the applicable consumer rights.
17. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Common is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee:
- that Common will always be available or error-free;
- that every profile or statement made by a user is accurate;
- that another user will behave appropriately;
- that users will respond to you or match with you;
- that use of Common will result in a date, relationship, marriage, friendship, or other particular result; or
- that profile review will detect every false, fraudulent, misleading, unsafe, or inappropriate account.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, statutory conformity rights, or other protections that applicable consumer law does not permit us to exclude.
18. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is prohibited by applicable law.
In particular, these Terms do not limit any non-waivable consumer right or any liability that applicable law requires Common to bear.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Common will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable and that arise from circumstances outside Common's reasonable control.
Common is not responsible for the independent conduct of another user merely because that person used Common, except to the extent applicable law imposes responsibility on Common.
Where applicable law permits a contractual limitation of aggregate liability, Common's aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid directly for Common Premium Services during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
The limitations in this section apply only to the extent legally permitted and do not override mandatory consumer protections.
19. Your Responsibility for Violations
You are responsible for your own unlawful conduct and for User Content that you submit in violation of law or the rights of another person.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for reasonable losses or third-party claims caused by your fraud, intentionally unlawful conduct, infringement of third-party rights, or material violation of these Terms.
This section does not impose liability on a consumer where applicable consumer law prohibits doing so.
20. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms and your relationship with Common are generally governed by the laws of Mexico.
However, if you use Common as a consumer in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection that applies to you under the laws of your country of habitual residence and that cannot legally be waived by contract.
If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in any court or dispute-resolution forum available to you under applicable mandatory law. Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to submit exclusively to courts in Mexico where such a requirement would be unlawful.
For disputes involving a person using Common for purposes other than as a consumer, and where legally permitted, the courts of Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico will have jurisdiction.
The parties may always attempt to resolve a dispute informally by contacting [email protected] before commencing formal proceedings.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when reasonably necessary, including because of changes to the Service, law, regulation, security requirements, app-store requirements, or our business operations.
The updated Terms will identify the date on which they were last revised.
If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, email, or another appropriate method.
Where applicable law requires your affirmative consent to a change, we will request that consent.
Changes will not retroactively eliminate rights that you have already acquired where doing so is prohibited by law.
If you do not agree to an updated version of these Terms, you may stop using Common and delete your account.
22. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies or purchase terms expressly incorporated into them, constitute the agreement between you and Common concerning your use of the Service.
Severability
If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
No waiver
If Common does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean Common permanently waives the right to enforce it.
Assignment
You may not transfer your account or contractual rights under these Terms without Common's consent.
Common may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of the Service, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law and without reducing mandatory consumer rights.
Language
Common may make these Terms available in multiple languages for the convenience and accessibility of users.
Localized versions are intended to convey the same substantive terms. Any interpretation of differing versions will remain subject to mandatory consumer and language requirements applicable in the user's jurisdiction.
